Study on anaphora in US Presidents' speeches

The study is the study on the use of one of the rhetorical devices epanaphora in governmental speeches by U.S Presidents. Its objective is to get around the effectiveness of anaphora in the selected speeches. The anaphora analyzed in this thesis includes the repetition of similar structural patterns and the use of the dispatcher plural personal pronoun we. reveal of five speeches, two be Bill Clintons inauguration Addresses and three are George W. bushs speeches concerning the war on Iraq, worldwide terrorism and counterinsurgency in the Middle East.
